Both companies and private individuals are often facing contract law. Agreements define all business transactions. It is important that an agreement is complete and explicit and clearly express the parties’ intentions. The purpose of the provisions is often to, between the parties, allocate transaction risks and other risks. At the same time the agreement must comply with necessary legal requirements to foresee how a court would assess the provisions of the agreement. When drafting international contracts, it is of great importance to consider which country’s law that shall be applicable and how eventual disputes shall be resolved between the parties.
